Stats Are Done; Standings To Come

February 3rd, 2020

This past Sunday's short schedule (due to the Super Bowl) gave me the chance to catch up on stuff and thus it is that the stats are all up to date and the first posting of the season standings will show up tonight. We had 10 games in the abbreviated schedule and for the second week in a row, we had no forfeits. Let's just keep that going; whaddya' say?

We had several lower-than-usual-scoring games. In three of the games, the winning score was in the 40s, and in two of the games, the winning score was in the 30s. But then, Stairway To Devin (cool team name) went for 83 in a 10-point win over The Hurricanes.

The Division names this season will be characters from "The Good Place," which just finished its show run last week with an ending that was bittersweet and melancholy, but just about right. I had to review the show when it first started and my reaction was that it was much too clever to be on network TV. But it somehow lasted the entire four-season run and was critically acclaimed while doing so. I highly recommend it.
